Analyst Summary: Matrix Interactive | LifeLink Prodigy
This is a "no monthly fee" alert system that autodials friends and family and or 911 when you press the panic button. This one does not have voice communication through the pendant, but relies on voice through the base station, as do many of the monitored PERS systems. The company claims this allows for "a true waterproof pendant", and a much smaller and lighter pendant.
Size, economics and waterproofness seem to be key selling points
The image shown here (from LifeLink) compares this product with the Freedom Alert, which seems to be a primary competitor for this system. The smaller of the two images is the LifeLink Prodigy.
The no fee aspect of these two products is what appeals to many.
We found the LifeLink Prodigy on Amazon for $397 (Nov 2015).
UPDATE (Oct. 2017): This product is being discontinued. It appears the company is winding down. For now you can still purchase the product on Amazon or eBay.
