Hardware needed:

  • Flic button– no need for the Flic Hub
  • Smartphone with Bluetooth

 

Software needed:

  • Flic app from Google Playstore or Apple App Store

 

Setup:

After you purchase the Flic button

  • Install the Flic app
  • Create an account

 

  • Log in and select PHONE, not HUB

 

  • Click Add Flic to Phone
  • OK any permissions

 

  • Add the button

 

  • Name the button & click DONE & FINISH

 

  • Click the on-screen button, not the physical Flic button

 

  • Click the “Click” on-screen button
    • Note, you could choose other actions for Double Click and Hold later

 

  • Click Phone Control
    • Note, later you could experiment with other actions

 

  • Click Find my Phone

 

  • Try out a few sounds here and the Flashlight
    • Warning- they are loud!
  • Click Save Action
  • Click OK to link with Flic if asked
  • Agree to terms

 

  • Now, you can click the physical Flic button to test it

 

  • Just tap the phone screen to stop it

 

  • If you like to add more actions to this button push, such as have the phone speak a message, click the on-screen button
