Discussion Summary
The Saratoga Retirement Community discussion circle explores gadgets designed to make it easier to enter and exit an automobile.
The group recognizes the car swivel seat cushion we brought along, and one member recalls seeing the concept in earlier model GM cars. Pros and cons are discussed, with most seeing it as a helpful aid. Others see uses indoors, such as in a dining room.
The group comes up with several "improvements" to the basic design.
The Handy Bar draws positive comments as a lever that sets in the car door latch and provides needed leverage getting in and out. Some see a need for additional leverage bars on cars' dashboards. The group agrees that the devices are good in concept, but could be even better with a few modifications.
