Discussion Summary

Car entry and exit aids are examined and discussed by the group of Longevity Explorers at Sequoias, San Francisco.

Starting with a swivel pad for the car seat to make it easier to get in and out, the group is impressed at the ease of rotation, yet one member questions the stability while driving.

The Car Cane is demonstrated as well as the HandyBar, which has more heft and a slim profile. The window strap is new to the group, which is more familiar with the retractable handles built in above the windows of most cars. Too, members are wary of the safety of the strap.

A final car gadget is oversized or supplemental mirrors for enhanced visibility of surrounding traffic.
