For those of you in Australia:

Join the Hallmark Ageing Research Initiative at the University of Melbourne, and the Melbourne Ageing Research Collaboration for a public seminar from international guest speaker Dr. Richard Caro.

  • May 2nd, 2017.
  • Melbourne, Australia.
  • Topic: Can Technology Make Ageing Better and Cheaper?

About the talk

While much of the western world worries about the economic and human costs of an ageing population, Dr. Caro argues that there is room for optimism - and that by harnessing the power of technology and the untapped wisdom of the older adult population we can improve the quality of life as we age, expand the capabilities of caregivers, and perhaps even make the progress of ageing less costly.

Among other topics, Dr. Caro will describe an experimental sharing, ideation and evaluation community called the Longevity Explorers - made up of older adults (in their 70s, 80s, and 90s).
