“Good” medication management is widely believed to be desirable, by older adults as well as by clinicians. This article is about what factors make medication management systems useful for a given person, and outlines a series of circumstances for which specific features of these products can be helpful. Both my parents were the youngest of a large number of siblings. Because of this wonderful family situation, I’ve been an caregiver for my entire life. After a successful career in Silicon Valley, I’ve devoted my efforts to helping the older adult community by looking at areas needing more attention. One of those areas is medication adherence. Worldwide this has become a major issues leading to avoidable medical costs and significant loss of quality of life. Technology can improve this situation. I am dedicated to creating technology that will enhance and maintain the health of the older adult community.
