Discussion Summary
SF Explorers spent a portion of their meeting time sharing reports on their favorite wearables - both high and low tech.
First - the 'Low Tech' Wearables
Apparently, it does not require a technology solution to meet a number of needs for members:
- 'Dogtags' imprinted with contact info, medical information, blood type, and meds
- Phone bag with neck strap
- Wearable flashlight
- Plastic pouch containing contact and medical info
- Glasses strap to secure hearing aids
Next, the 'High Tech' Ones
In the case of wearable electronic devices favored by the group, most are health-related:
- Medical Alert pendant
- Fitbit
- Apple Watch
- iPhone Health app
- Phone headset - hands-free iPods and iPods Pro
In all, the group offers a divergent assortment of wearables, finding both tech-enabled devices and low tech ones to be helpful on a daily basis.
