Summary
The UPWalker upright walker is a rollator with elevatable lower arm support and upright handles intended to allow the user to stand upright during use.
From the website: "Enables users to stand upright and look ahead with better support, greater dignity, and greater confidence to walk farther and remain active.
- More comfortable compared to other walkers and rollators because it reduces stress and pain on joints in your wrists, back and legs
- We want you to be happy with your purchase so make sure the UpWalker is right for you and your situation. Our primary concern is that the UpWalker is safe and effective for you or the loved one you're buying it for; the following are the main reasons why some people returned their UPWalker. Please carefully review each of these points and if ANY of the points apply to you then for your safety please do NOT buy the UpWalker.
- 1. Too heavy or bulky for me to maneuver it. If you are not of reasonable health, have ataxia and/or some other mobility issues, you may not be able to handle the agility of the UpWalker. If you are over 75-80 years old or have to rely on your current walker for support to stand you may find it hard to control the UpWalker.
- 2. Too big or too small for me or my living space. If you are you under 4’ 6” in height then the UpWalker is too big for you. If you're over 5’ 10” tall, or weigh over 300 pounds, then it's too small for you. The UpWalker is great for wide-open spaces in the outdoors or in larger homes, however some people find that it’s cumbersome to maneuver in the confined space of their smaller home or apartment."

Tech-enhanced Life Resource Database
This is one of hundreds of products and resources in the Tech-enhanced Life database of "useful products and resources".
The theme of this collection of resources is "tools we can use to help improve our quality of life as we grow older".
We have no vested interest in any of these products or services, but we have collected descriptions of them, and organized them according to various themes relating to the challenges of aging — so older adults and their families can find useful products they do not yet know about.
Members of Tech-enhanced Life can search by categories, add reviews of the products, and see links to the manufacturer's websites where they can buy the product or access the resource.
The criteria for adding products and resources to this database is that we think they "look useful, noteworthy, and interesting", and have the potential to improve life for older adults and their families. We have evaluated some of these products, in which case you will see links to a detailed review and or to explorer discussions about the product on this page, or inputs from explorers in the comments.
If the listing does not include reviews or explorer discussions, then we have not evaluated it sufficiently to be able to recommend it or comment on how well it works. If you research this product or resource further, and especially if you try it out, please come back to this page and add your comments.
* Full Disclosure: In some cases, the links that take you away from our website to the website of the "company" may be "affiliate links".
