Discussion Summary

Explorer Marilyn is asked whether the editorial work she does for the community newsletter is done on her iPad, she says that although she does not use it for that, she does go on to describe the things that she does with her iPad and her other computers.

She explains that in addition to her iPad, she also has a desktop computer and a laptop, but says she hasn't yet transferred everything from her desktop to her laptop, "because I don't trust it yet." When asked why she has both, she explains that the desktop is a 2003 model, and the laptop is a 2014 model and the intended replacement.

The newer one - the laptop - has the Windows 8 operating system, and while she has been waiting to install Windows 2010, she has heard some concerning reports from other users about Windows 10. Marilynn, however, finds some consolation in the report that a friend has discovered a way to transfer out of Windows 10 if she doesn't like it.

Lyle reports that he uses Windows 10 on his PC, and has no complaints about it. Although Lyle uses Windows on his computer, Apple on his iPhone, and Android on his tablet - which sounds confusing to some - he reports having no problem with it.
