Discussion Summary

Explorer Rich describes his Apple iWatch 3. He also admires the thinness as well as the 30% larger display area in the model 4, which includes fall detection and medical alert. The group goes on to learn about and discuss several of its features:

Separate cellular connection for independent operation from the iPhone

Auto response to phone calls when busy

Heart rate monitor with continuous recording and history (EKG coming in future models)

Time, temperature with sunrise and sunset

Attractive form factor vs. pendant button design

Emergency calling to designated numbers for falls or medical alert

Waterproof for shower or bathing

Members agree that the 'smaller than phone'screen may be hard to read, but are impressed with the many helpful things that it can do.
