Discussion Summary

Explorer Janet starts the discussion speaking of adventurous travel programs specially designed to accommodate older adults or persons with disabilities.

Interesting modes of travel such as riverboats or destination golf courses or even extended road trips here and abroad are mentioned. Explorer Rick tells of African walking safaris, which have proven to be hazardous as well as exotic.

The group agrees that personal security during travel is a high priority, recommending that travelers register with the State Department prior to leaving to receive valuable advisories for personal safety overseas.
