LifeGuardian, Medical Alarm System: Review

The Basics

Product name: Medical Alert System

Manufacturer / Distributor: LifeGuardian

Compilation: Q4 2015

This page contains our LifeGuardian | Medical Alert System review.

Analyst Summary: LifeGuardian Medical Alert System

While it is a little hard to tell from the company's website exactly how the product has been designed, as best we can tell it is a typical example of an at-home medical alert system.

It appears to connect to the response center via landline phone, and to have a waterproof pendant. The voice interaction between responder and older adult comes through the base station.

There is an optional auto-detect falls button.

This product appears to be the same as that offered by Connect America. We suspect one company makes both products. Not sure yet which one.

Product Line & Company: LifeGuardian

LifeGuardian claims on its website that it " invented the wireless personal emergency transmitter and is a leading manufacturer of emergency reporting systems in the United States".

The website also claims that "LifeGuardian's US-based, UL Approved personal emergency and medical monitoring center is one of the oldest and most experienced medical monitoring call centers - serving the entire North America, Hawaii, Alaska and all of Canada. During the past 15 years of continuous operation, our medical monitoring center has successfully responded to over 3 million (3,000,000+) emergency and non-emergency help calls."

So the company had been in business for some time. .........Read more
