Analysis & Exploration: Sharers, Co-creation

Empowering Seniors through Communication Technology

Ruth was 90 when I met her through an organization that tends to the various needs of senior citizens. Her only child was estranged from her, and my goal was to provide companionship a few hours per week. What I found amazed me and put to rest any lingering age stereotypes I still might have had. Our game plan for how to spend time changed radically.

Seniors Embrace Social Media in Surprising Numbers

One of the writers I featured in my new book, The Vintage years: Finding Your Inner Artist (Writer, Musician, Visual Artist) After Sixty, didn't begin to write her first book until she was in her eighties. The psychology of aging is relevant and necessary as we proceed. I am going to present a model that should help us gain a general perspective on this very complex subject.

Code To Spot Anomalous Behavior

This is a nontechnical discussion regarding the code that can spot anomalous behavior and the inferences that can be made. This may be the biggest single challenge for realizing clever, tech-enabled solutions forAging In Place?

Aging in Place needs a Business Model

Aging in Place is a widely popular concept. Seniors want it. Economists think it has to happen if we are not all to go broke. And there is lots of technology being developed that may help. But, picking the right business model is a thorny issue.
